FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A major fast-food chain is hoping to hire 500 people at a special event in Fort Wayne tomorrow.

McDonald’s restaurants in the Fort Wayne area are hosting a Hiring Day to recruit new employees and raise awareness of their college tuition assistance, high school completion, and job training programs.

Dick Littlefield, who owns several McDonald’s locations in and around Fort Wayne, says the company offers many opportunities to people from all walks of life.

Hiring day is being held by a group of franchisees that run 70 restaurants throughout northern Indiana and southwest Michigan.
