More than 25,000 Power Outages Around Indiana

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) – More than 25,000 Indiana homes and businesses are without power with temperatures of -10 degrees or lower in many places.
 
The largest number of outages was in Indianapolis, where nearly 23,000 homes and businesses were without electricity Monday afternoon. There also were reports of more than 1,000 business and homes without power in the Terre Haute area and more than 500 in central Indiana's Morgan County.
 
Numerous shelters have been opened around the state to assist those without power or stranded travelers.
