Much of Indiana Facing Slick Roads from Snowfall

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) – Drivers are facing some slick roads around central and southern Indiana after up to 3 inches of overnight snowfall.

Some school districts in primarily rural areas of southern Indiana announced closings or two-hour delays in their openings Monday morning.

The National Weather Service has a winter storm warning in effect through Monday morning for counties across far southern Indiana, cautioning drivers about potentially hazardous driving conditions from reduced visibility and snow accumulations.

The weather service reports snowfalls of about 3 inches in the Lafayette area, 2.5 inches in Indianapolis and a couple inches around Evansville.
