Murder Suspect Released Because of Eavesdropping

MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. (AP): A Michigan City man charged with murder in the shooting death of his 24-year-old girlfriend has been released from jail and the case against him may be in jeopardy because police found the alleged murder weapon after officers improperly listened to a conversation he had with his attorney. The News-Dispatch reports all the officers deposed have asserted their Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination when asked about what was overheard from Brian Taylor and  attorney David Payne.
