Navistar Cutting Workforce

Navistar says they need to return to profitability, and so they need to cut their workforce by 200. This announcement was made yesterday from the Illinois based company. They say they lost big money in the 3rd quarter, and needed to trim in the 4th in order to stay as a viable company. They also say they are trying to slim down their salaried workers by hoping 500 take buyouts and early retirement….no word on how many have taken them up on their offer.
