NE Indiana Man Dies after Fight with Neighbor

HOWE, Ind. (AP) – Authorities say a northeastern Indiana man collapsed and died after stepping away from a fight he had started with a neighbor.

The LaGrange County Sheriff's Department says Edward Garnaat died in the driveway of a home near the town of Howe.

The News Sun reports Garnaat was arguing with a neighbor on Sunday when he punched a neighbor several times.

The sheriff's department says the neighbor didn't punch back but Garnaat collapsed as he began walking away. Officials said Garnaat was believed to be in his late 60s or early 70s.

An autopsy was performed Monday but officials didn't immediately say what caused Garnaat's death.
