New Castle Woman’s Body Found Near Pond In Henry County

SULPHUR SPRINGS, Ind. (AP) _ Indiana State Police say a fisherman found a New Castle woman's body near a pond in northern Henry County.

The Star Press reports (http://tspne.ws/1NF0nWQ ) that 22-year-old Kirsten P. Sidwell's body was found Thursday morning near Province Pond, which is an Indiana Department of Natural Resources area.

Henry County Sheriff Ric McCorkle says the woman hadn't been reported missing but her family was looking for her. He said law enforcement investigators were approaching the case as a homicide investigation.

The newspaper reports that Sidwell was charged March 3 with dealing in a controlled substance and released from the Henry County jail on March 19 after posting $30,000 bond.
