NEW HAVEN, Ind. (WOWO) – New Haven Mayor Steve McMichael has been appointed to the National League of Cities 2025 Small Cities Council.

The NLC, including city, town and village leaders, focuses on improving the quality of life for current and future constituents.

The Small Cities Council is for officials with populations of 50,000 or less people. It allows for officials from member cities to offer ideas to challenges that some small cities may be facing.

McMichael was given a one-year term to develop and guide programs. He’ll play a key role, encouraging collaboration, networking and developing resources and programs that can help to benefit communities across the country.

The City of New Haven says Small Cities make up about 80 percent of NLC membership.

Mayor McMichael says the appointment to the Small Cities Council is a big step for New Haven as the town is given a seat at the National Table of Collaborations.

This is Ironic February 5, 2025 at 11:17 am

This appointment is very Ironic, given the New Haven Mayor was pushing really hard for the Casino.

Something that none of his constituents wanted.

His Constituents overwhelmingly didn’t believe it would improve the quality of their lives….Luckily, he failed in that regard.

But now, he is appointed to a Council that “focuses on improving the quality of life for current and future constituents. ” Hopefully he will learn from his mistakes which is Not pushing crap on people they don’t want.

LOL what a world….
