Number of Officers Firing Shots in Police Action Shootings is Most in Recent History

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Nine officers have fired shots in four police police action shootings so far in 2013. That’s the most in recent history according to Police Chief Rusty York.  York tells the Journal-Gazette, its not about the number of shootings, but shows how effective officers are tactically in dangerous situations. One of the shootings has been ruled justified, three others remain under investigation, as is standard procedure following police shootings.
