DEKALB COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO) – One person has died after reportedly being struck by a train in DeKalb County over the weekend.

The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office says it happened around 9 a.m. on the railroad tracks in the 600 block of E. Main St. in Butler. 

Authorities arrived to find a man, identified as 19-year-old Ethan Fike, who had been struck by a Norfolk Southern train.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The incident is still under investigation at this time.
