FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Fort Wayne Fire units were called to a house fire early Wednesday morning on report that someone was possibly inside the home. Crews got to the scene just after 1:00 A.M. to find a one-story house with fire coming out of the side. The only resident was outside but needed medical treatment and was taken by ambulance in serious condition. The fire was under control in 5 minutes. Two cats were found dead inside. No other injuries were reported, and the cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
