INDIANAPOLIS Ind. (AP): Two of Gov. Mike Pence's top aides are leaving his administration.

Pence announced Tuesday that personnel director Anita Samuel and former Workforce Development Commissioner Scott Sanders are leaving the administration.

Sanders is leaving to take a job running the National Association of State Workforce Agencies in Washington. Pence appointed a new Workforce Development Commissioner last month, but kept Sanders on in a deputy role. Samuel is leaving to spend more time with her family and seek unspecified private sector work.

The announcements follow a handful of other top departures from the administration. Former Family and Social Services Administration Debra Minott left in June, in the middle of top-level negotiations over expanding Medicaid coverage.

In August, Dr. William VanNess announced he was resigning as the State Health Commissioner.
