Pence to Give “Love” Sculpture Replica to Cologne

INDIANAPOLIS (AP): Indiana Gov. Mike Pence will give a replica of the iconic “Love” sculpture to a museum in Indianapolis' sister city of Cologne, Germany.

Indianapolis Museum of Art CEO Charles Venable presented the replica to first lady Karen Pence during a Friday ceremony ahead of the governor's April 12-18 trip to Germany.

The Museum Ludwig in Cologne will provide a sculpture in return that will be displayed at the Indianapolis Museum of Art.

Replicas of the bright red letters with green and blue highlights that spell “love” in Robert Indiana's sculpture are on display in cities across the nation, including Philadelphia and New York City.

Versions of the pop art sculpture also are on display across Europe and Asia.
