Plane Crash Injures Two

WOLCOTTVILLE, Ind. (WOWO) _ Two people were hurt after their single-engine plane crashed in a bean field in LaGrange County Saturday morning.

According to the LaGrange County Sheriff's Department, Wesley Ortell was piloting the plane just north of County Road 700 South when the plane's engine failed. He crash landed in a bean field nearby, having the plane flip over and eventually land upside down.

An elderly woman who was Ortell's passenger was taken to a Fort Wayne hospital; Ortell complained of neck pain but was released from the scene with no other injuries.
