Police locate two people, drugs in barn in LaGrange County

LAGRANGE COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO) – Two people were arrested Friday in LaGrange County after being found in possession of drugs.

The LaGrange County Communications Center received a call around 10 a.m. reporting suspicious activity around 400 S and State Road 3.

The caller reported seeing a dark-colored minivan drop off two people wearing dark-colored hoodies. The two people ran behind a house on the northeast corner of the intersection, heading toward a barn.

Officers arrived to the scene around 10:10 a.m. and located Matthew Coney and Patricia Reffeitt inside the barn.

Coney was found in possession of methamphetamine, marijuana and paraphernalia. He was arrested for drug possession as well as maintaining a common nuisance and booked into the LaGrange County Jail.

Reffeitt was also booked into the jail on a charge of visiting a common nuisance.
