Powerball Jackpot Reaches New Record

NETWORK INDIANA _ Saturday‘s Powerball Jackpot will be at least $600 million. Hoosier Lottery Spokesman Al Larsen says that‘s a new record for Powerball. The current jackpot has shattered Powerball‘s $587.5 million drawing last November.

However, it still falls short of the largest lottery jackpot in history. That was the Megamillions March 2012 drawing which reached $656 million. Three winning tickets shared that jackpot. Larsen says folks who win drawings should take their time to make wise decisions and seek reputable, wise legal and financial counsel before doing anything else.

The Hoosier Lottery also celebrated it‘s latest $1 million winners. They are Lloyd and Jan Shirrell of Marion County. The Shirrell‘s found out they won by watching a news report at the convenience store where they bought their ticket. Shirrell says they checked their ticket while watching the report and were shocked to discover they had won. By the way, Friday night‘s Megamillions jackpot is at least $190 million.
