Purdue Trustees OK Tuition Freeze on Main Campus

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (AP) _ The Purdue University trustees have approved a tuition freeze and lower costs for students on the main campus in West Lafayette.

The trustees on Wednesday approved freezing tuition and cutting costs for meal plans and university cooperative education and internship programs for all students in West Lafayette.

Tuition and fees for resident students on the West Lafayette campus will be about $10,000 each of the next two school years.

The fee cuts will affect more than 10,000 students.

Purdue President Mitch Daniels announced the tuition freeze plan in March. It covers only the main campus.

The trustees also approved a 2 percent tuition and fee increase at Purdue’s three regional campuses for each of the next two years.
