FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): We now know who died after a bizarre car crash on Broadway Sunday afternoon, but we still don’t know exactly why.

The Allen County Coroner’s Office has identified the man who died from a possible overdose as 40 year old Victor Rodriguez of Fort Wayne. Investigators believe he was suffering from a drug overdose, but the coroner’s office says the cause and manner of death are still pending after an autopsy was performed Monday afternoon.

Rodriguez was found unresponsive in a vehicle that crashed on Broadway between Kinnaird and Packard at about 1 p.m. Sunday. He later was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.

The driver of the vehicle fled the scene after the crash and has yet to be located.
