LIGONIER, Ind. (WOWO) – A Ligonier woman is raising money for her sick dog’s healthcare by making homemade dog treats.

Eva Shindler’s service dog, Remi, has been with Eva for the past seven years as Evabattles a series of chronic illnesses.

When Remi began having seizures and needing medical appointments to ease his pain, Eva created “Remi’s Cookies.”

Eva, who has been given 13 diagnoses, says Remi changed everything for her. Remi is trained to assist Eva when she is nearing a fainting episode as well as other medically-necessary tools.

Remi’s Cookies has been in business for over a year, with regular customers supporting.

Purchases can be made on the Remi’s Cookies website, with packs and cookies starting at just $5.
