Rules in Place for Sex Offenders on Halloween

INDIANAPOLIS (AP): The state is requiring paroled sex offenders in Indiana to adhere to restrictions during the trick-or-treat hours for the communities they live in. The Indiana Department of Correction says Operation Safe Halloween helps ensure that Halloween will be safer for children across the state. The program requires that sex offenders attend a mandatory meeting, turn in safety plans for the evening or remain at home and not pass out candy.
