SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) _ A northern Indiana man who survived being hit by a high-speed train is recovering at a hospital.
 
  The LaPorte County Sheriff's Department says 22-year-old Darryle See of Michiana Shores was walking on the train tracks near his home listening to music on headphones when he was hit Friday by an Amtrak passenger train going about 110 mph.
 
  Sheriff's Maj. John Boyd tells the LaPorte County Herald-Argus that the angle of the train's nose might have thrown him clear of the tracks. Boyd says the man was conscious at the scene about 25 miles west of South Bend.
 
  A South Bend hospital upgraded See's condition to serious over the weekend.
 
  Helen Hugley tells the South Bend Tribune her grandson suffered a fractured pelvis and non-life-threatening neck injuries.
