State Agencies Warn of Dangers at County Fairs

INDIANAPOLIS (AP): The Indiana Department of Homeland Security and other state agencies are reminding people to be alert for safety concerns when attending county fairs and other local festivals. The agencies remind fair-goers to report suspicious activity and also to be alert for severe weather. They also say don't board a ride if broken parts are visible, if there are signs of improper maintenance or if it is being run by an inattentive operator. Every ride should have a prominently displayed Homeland Security permit.
