FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A Fremont teen is dead following an fatal tree trimming accident in rural Steuben County Tuesday afternoon.

The Allen County Coroners office confirms to WOWO News that 16-year-old Colin Book died as a result of blunt force trauma in the incident.

Just after 4:30 p.m., authorities were called to St. Paul's Catholic Church near Clear Lake northeast of Fremont.

The teen was airlifted to a Fort Wayne hospital where he later died.

Grief counselors have been called in for students at Fremont High School.
