SYRACUSE, Ind. (WOWO): A Syracuse man is in jail after police say he broke into a woman's home and hit her in the face several times.
The victim told police 21 year-old Phillip Tinkey broke into her house while she was sleeping, placed his hand over her mouth and punched her four times in the face. She says he then took off from the home on his moped.
As he was being arrested, investigators say Tinkey said he was angry after seeing his victim holding hands with another man. He was arrested on preliminary charges of burglary and battery causing bodily injury. He remains in the Kosciusko County Jail on a $15,000 bond.
