FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): An Allen County task force is looking at finding new ways to bring more businesses to the county’s southwest corner.

The Southwest Area Task Force is looking at possibly updating the county’s Comprehensive Land Use policy, which was created alongside Fort Wayne officials back in 2007.

Commissioner Nelson Peters tells 21Alive there is a lot more industrial use in that particular area than the county saw nine years ago, and an update to the plan could lead to more people wanting to work around Airport Expressway and the southwest portion of the county.

One such update could be to accommodate those wanting to build close to the I-69 corridor.
