The New Chevy Silverado Takes Home “Truck of the Year”

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO):   News from the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Michigan could be good news for Fort Wayne as the New Chevy Silverado has been named “Truck of the Year.”

Automotive editors from around the country were tasked with selecting the top car and top truck. Lloyd Bierman, the Marketing Director for the Chevy Silverado says the model that’s built in Fort Wayne was selected for its “car like” attributes, like a quiet cab, high quality interior materials, and good fuel mileage.

He says awards like “Truck of the Year” are important, because they highlight what the Silverado offers. Bierman fully expects sales to continue a strong upward trend for the full-size truck.
