FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The Fort Wanye TinCaps will be celebrating a big milestone this season: the four-millionth fan to attend a game at Parkview Field.

This is the team’s 10th anniversary at the downtown ballpark, and Team President Mike Nutter tells WOWO News he’s blown away by the community’s support:

“We’ve done over 400,000 fans a year, on average, so it’s been a remarkable run,” Nutter says. “It’s wild to think back that in our first year, we won over 100 games, we won our first championship, and that was the lowest attendance number we’ve had.”

Nutter expects the “four-millionth fan” number to be reached sometime mid-season. The TinCaps’ home opener is this Saturday night against Lake County at 6:05pm.

Tickets are available at the Parkview Field box office or at TinCapsTickets.com.
