Toddler Hospitalized with BAC of .27%

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A 2-year-old child was taken to a hospital with a blood alcohol content of .27%. Police say a caretaker told them the child may have drunk vodka. The child was put to bed, and someone had been drinking vodka upstairs before that person and the caretaker went downstairs to smoke. According to our partners in news at 21 Alive, the two went back upstairs and found the 2-year-old awake, who started vomiting when they tried to put he/she back to bed. Then the child became unresponsive. The two put the child on its side but called an ambulance when the child wouldn't wake up.
