Two Brothers Charged With Stealing Outdoor Machinery in Fort Wayne

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Two brothers were charged this week after stealing more than $30,000 worth of outdoor machinery.

According to the Journal Gazette, 47-year-old Kenneth Apt and 42-year-old Eric Apt cut the fence at a Fort Wayne equipment dealership and managed to load up their truck with high-end mowers, a chain saw, and a snow blower, among other items. They also took items from a house next door to the dealership.

One of the mowers was valued at $7,000.

The brothers told police they purchased the mower from a dealership in Berne.

Police were able to trace the serial number to a Fort Wayne dealership.
