(WOWO): Fifty years ago Star Trek was introduced to the world. Now, the U.S. Postal Service is introducing stamps that will “live long and prosper.”

On Sept. 2, the U.S. Postal Service issued the Star Trek Forever Stamps. Four different stamps are available with digital illustrations inspired by the TV show, according to the Postal Service.

“The Postal Service is proud to commemorate ‘Star Trek’ on the eve of its 50th anniversary,” said Postmaster General Megan J. Brennan. “Star Trek’s intricate futuristic setting, multicultural cast and story lines touched on social issues and pushed past the boundaries of popular science fiction becoming a worldwide phenomenon.”

The USPS wants fans to share the news on social media using the hashtag #StarTrekForever.
