UPDATE: Details released on fatal Friday morning crash

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): More details have been released on a fatal crash that happened at the intersection of Lafayette and Pontiac this morning.

The Fort Wayne Police Department tells WOWO News officers were called to the intersection at about 7:35am. Upon arrival they found two vehicles – a passenger car and a pickup truck – in the intersection.

There were three people in the car; a passenger in the front seat, 83-year-old Virginia Smith of Fort Wayne, was pronounced dead at an area hospital. The two others in the car, plus the driver of the truck, were all hospitalized as well.
