MUNCIE, Ind. (AP) _ A 25-year-old Muncie man suspected of leaving a backpack containing a mobile meth lab inside a Wal-Mart bathroom is expected to be formally charged later this week.
State Police say Tyler J. Armstrong was arrested Monday night on preliminary charges of manufacturing methamphetamine, dumping controlled substance waste and criminal recklessness.
Police say he also faces preliminary charges of battery on a police officer and resisting law enforcement because of an altercation during his arrest.
Delaware County Chief Deputy Prosecutor Eric Hoffman said Tuesday formal charges will likely be filed within two days against Armstrong.
Twenty-four-year-old Ashley Oliver was arrested with Armstrong on a preliminary charge of aiding in the manufacture of methamphetamine.
Armstrong remained jailed Tuesday at the county jail on a $30,000 bond. Oliver's bond was set at $5,000.
