FORT WAYNE, Ind. More details coming into focus following a reported child abduction just before noon today. 

We know a suspect was taken into custody on Turnberry Lane in Sycamore Hills. 

Our partners in news at 21Alive are now reporting the suspect was instead being pursued as in connection with a shoplifting at a nearby store. 

Authorities now say the suspect had his own child with him and his escape path took him through the pool area at Sycamore Hills. That's when a worker at the pool called police believing it was an abduction.
