Community Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Indiana, Wins $60,000 Grant

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The Community Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Indiana ended Walmart's national“Fight Hunger, Spark Change” competition in 16th place. As a result, the food bank will be receiving a $60,000 grant.


The Community Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Indiana, collected 4,878 votes, during the three week campaign. The top 50 food banks with the most online votes get the prize money.


Community Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Indiana officials say the grant will be used to distribute 240,000 meals and to expand their programs for school children.
