Waterloo Amtrak Station Receives Funding for Renovations

WATERLOO, Ind. (WOWO): The town of Waterloo received more than $1.8 million in funding from the U.S. Department of Transportation to upgrade their Amtrak train station.

The money will be used to move the historic Waterloo Depot closer to the existing boarding area and will be upgraded with restrooms and a new long-term parking lot.

The project is part of a 10-year effort to replace the existing train shelter that's currently used as a community center.
