Winter Weather Advisory Issues For Monday Night

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO):  A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for Monday night around Fort Wayne and most of the listening area.

Starting at 8 p.m., the National Weather Service says we should watch for hazardous weather, with light snow that could become moderate during the overnight.  Around 1-3 inches of snow are expected, while areas north and closer to Lake Michigan could see anywhere from 4 to 8 inches of snow.

Winds will continue to be around 20-30 MPH, which will lead to blowing and drifting.  Wind chills could fall below zero during the day, dipping as low as 15 below zero between tonight and early Wednesday morning.

It could mean for a difficult drive Tuesday morning with snow covered roads.  Use caution when driving.  The advisory continues until noon on Tuesday.
