DEKALB COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): A woman was transported to the hospital Monday morning after a crash on I-69.

Officials say just before 5 a.m., 55-year-old Julia Steward was traveling southbound at the 322.9 mile marker when she left the east side of the road, entering the median. Her vehicle went on to strike the safety barrels before hitting the CR 68 bridge structure head-on.

Steward complained of pain to both knees as well as one of her wrists. The incident remains under investigation.
