KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO) – A 26-year-old woman is dead after a crash Tuesday morning on U.S. 30.

As reported by our newsgathering partners at 21ALIVE, when first responders arrived at the scene, officers say they found a car and a semi pulling a trailer had crashed.

The sheriff’s office says 21-year-old Avery Hill was driving southbound crossing U.S. 30 when she pulled out in front of the semi that was headed eastbound on U.S. 30.

Hill was not seriously injured in the crash.

Her front seat passenger was airlifted for treatment and a second passenger, 26-year-old Magdalynn Wood of Larwill, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The semi driver was not hurt.

The crash remains under investigation at this time. SOQ.
