FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A woman was hospitalized in serious condition after being shot in Fort Wayne on Wednesday night.

A woman was sitting inside a pickup truck near the intersection of Bowser Avenue and Rudisill Boulevard at about midnight. A man approached her vehicle and shot her, according to our news partners at 21Alive.

A passenger in the truck wasn’t hurt. Police used police dogs to track the suspect, but the suspect got away.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call police.
