Woodlan High School assistant wrestling coach dies in weekend crash

NEW HAVEN, Ind. (WOWO): A Woodlan High School assistant wrestling coach has been identified as the victim of a Saturday morning crash.

Neil Burd, 39, of New Haven was on North Webster Road near Slusher Road around 4 a.m. Saturday, according to the Journal-Gazette.

His Jeep went off the left side of the road and crashed, throwing Burd from the vehicle as it rolled several times.

The Allen County Sheriff’s Department said speeding was a factor in the crash and that Burd was not wearing a seatbelt.
