YLNI Changes Date of New Year’s Eve Party

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The Young Leaders of Northeast Indiana's Masquerade Ball in downtown Fort Wayne has moved the date of their New Year's Eve event.

The event usually takes place at the Grand Wayne Center the night of December 31st. YLNI says the event will now take place in February 2015 at the Freemason Hall Masonic Temple off E. Washington Boulevard.

YLNI chose the month of February because it can often be uneventful while Fort Wayne residents wait for spring weather to arrive.

The News Sentinel reports the event was initially created for Fort Wayne residents to experience a high class, gala-style celebration. However, there's a lot of New Year's Eve celebrations that provide the same type of entertainment.

The Masquerade Ball will be held on Feruary 21st at 9 p.m. The theme of the party is “Around the World” with local restaurants showcasing exotic cuisine, beer, and music.
