5-year-old is Allen County’s 10th homicide victim for 2018

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A 5-year-old child’s death has been ruled a homicide by the Allen County Coroner.

The child was located at 1218 Gay Street, before being transported to Lutheran Hospital on Thursday, March 8. The boy has been identified as Benjamyn Otto McKinney Frederick, of Fort Wayne.

A loss of oxygen due to neck compression and multiple blunt force injuries, were the cause of death, according to the Allen County Coroner.

The 5-year-old is the 10th homicide victim for Allen County in 2018. Meantime, the incident remains under investigation.
