ELKHART, Ind. (WOWO): Some new jobs could be coming to Elkhart thanks to a company expanding its operations. Ameritrans Bus, Inc., which makes and distributes small to mid-size transportation vehicles, announced plans to invest over $400,000 and create up to 35 new jobs by 2017.The Elkhart-based company, which was acquired by ABC Companies in 2012, will renovate and equip its new 60,000 square-foot facility. Ameritrans employs 78 full-time Indiana associates as of now and plans to start hiring for general assembly positions in January.
