Indianapolis Police: Suspect Shot During Robbery

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) – Police in Indianapolis say officers responding to a report of a hold-up alarm at a CVS store in the city shot and critically wounded one of the suspects.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department Lieutenant Christopher Bailey says the shooting occurred about 3:30 a.m. near the entrance of the store. Bailey says there was a confrontation, shots were fired and the suspect was struck multiple times. He was taken to Wishard Hospital and was listed in critical condition.

Police are looking for a second suspect.

Three employees and three customers were in the store at the time.
