Fort Wayne OB/GYN Suspended Over Sexual Relationships With Patients

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A Fort Wayne OB/GYN has had his license suspended after admitting to having sexual relationships with his patients.

Dr. Cortney Schwartz voluntarily reported to the Indiana Medical Licensing Board that he engaged in several sexual relationships with patients in 2008 and 2009. The Journal-Gazette is reporting that he had a relationship in some degree with as many as 12 women that were either his patients or patients of other doctors in his practice.

Schwartz is going to enter an in-resident treatment program in Kansas later this month. The suspension lasts until January 28th, when the Medical Licensing Board will re-evaluate the suspension.

He left the Women's Health Advantage group in October.
