ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO) – Allen County residents can now dispose of their household hazardous waste (HHW) products every Tuesday.

The annual Tox-Away Day event held on the first Saturday after Labor Day is now a thing of the past. Instead, the Allen County Department of Environmental Management (ACDEM) expanded the program to every Tuesday.

HHW products can be dropped off each week at ACDEM’s Household Hazardous Waste Facility, 2260 Carroll Road, between 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Items like oil-based paints, toxic cleaners, automotive oils, and herbicides are all accepted at the facility.

Drop-off fees are determined by weight limits, and ACDEM is a cash-only facility. Weight limits and fees can be found at acwastewatcher.org.

For more information, call 260-449-7878.
