Abortion Doctor Klopfer to Keep License Pending Investigation

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WOWO): An embattled doctor who performs abortions in Allen County and other parts of the state, will keep his license, at least for now.

The Indiana Medical Licensing Board has shifted the case to the Indiana Attorney General's office for potential legal charges.

Dr. Ulrich Klopfer is accused of failure to report an abortion on a girl younger than 14.

Mike Fichter of Indiana Right to Life says the case is much deeper. The doctor, he maintains, is the subject of more than 400 complaints with the attorney general and has other criminal investigations in South Bend and Gary.
