MONROEVILLE, Ind. (WOWO): An air rifle was discovered at an East Allen County school yesterday.

According to a post on their official Facebook page, officials at Heritage Junior/Senior High School say a student brought an air-soft BB rifle to school yesterday morning. The school’s SRO officer and administrators were notified and confiscated the gun, and turned the student over to law enforcement.

The post stresses that there was no threat to any student or staff member, and added that officials take the safety and well-being of all students “very seriously.”
