Allen County Lodging Ordinance Gets Commissioners’ Approval

ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): Friday afternoon, the Allen County Board of Commissioners passed an ordinance that requires hotels and motels in the county to meet new health regulations. The new standards were recommended for approval by the Executive Board of Health.

The new recommendations will take effect January 1, 2014.

Each hotel and motel will be graded following inspections by employees of the Fort Wayne-Allen County Department of Health. The sanitation records will then be clearly defined and easily accessible in the front lobby of each hotel or motel.

The lodging establishment ordinance can be reviewed online by going to www.allencountyhealth.com.
