Area candidates visit a Fort Wayne school for “Rock the Vote” event

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Area candidates were at a local high school to encourage students to get involved in their communities.

Wayne High School hosted a “Rock The Vote” event at the New Tech Academy on Thursday afternoon, according to our news partners at 21Alive.

Allen County Commissioner Nelson Peters, Allen County Council Candidate Morrison Agen, Allen County Candidate Eric Tippman, State Representative Jorge Fernandez and Allen County Sheriff Ken Fries were part of a panel. The panel talked about the importance of being involved in the community.

The panel also answered questions. The topics ranged from violence to vandalism.
